Brassaiopsis fatsioides

RARE!! The ultimate Jungle garden plant! Exotic looking large snowflake-like leaves, described to me as like Brassaiopsis mitis but on steroids! Due to it's larger leaves. Hardy once established (approx -5 to -10c) but as this is so special we would recommend container growing for the first couple of seasons and providing some winter protection. We have found that once established Brassaiopsis are best planted out, if not protected top growth may be lost with hard frost but in spring re-growth will appear from the base. Best in a sheltered position in semi shade, humous-rich soil. Ultimate height 3-5m though pruning main stems will produce a lower bush.
