***Rare/uncommon*** (Hardy Tapioca) Fast-growing - deciduous sub-shrub/small tree from South America with attractively shaped 'snowflake-like' leaves that tremble in the wind. Hardy to approximately -8c, though when young MUST be protected. Root-hardy, top growth will die back outside in winter but will re-grow from base, alternatively overwinter in cold greenhouse for more impressive results. An exotic-must have for any jungle or foliage enthusiast! Height up to 3m. Grow in humus rich soil in full sun to part shade.
